I'm Eric Johnson and I have had the privilege of either being the Middle School or Elementary Counselor at East Central for over 30 years. I am currently the elementary school counselor as well as serving as the District Assessment Coordinator. I received my B.A. from U.M.D. in Psychology and my Master's Degree from U.M.D. in Educational Psychology. Before becoming a school counselor, I worked in the Johnson family furniture business as a sales consultant, buyer, marketing director, and service director.
My family is originally from the Duluth area and most still live in the area. My wife (Lorraine) and I have two wonderful children, Nathan and Sara. Nathan enjoys hockey, tennis, trick skiing, fishing, being with his friends, and collecting vintage fishing items with his dad! Sara enjoys working out with friends, movies, and doing things with her brother and family. She recently married a wonderful young man Chris. I'm blessed to have a new son in our family! She currently works as a teacher and is doing an awesome job! As a family we enjoy vacationing, going to Nate's sporting events, downhill skiing, attending Hermantown Community Church, going to rummage sales, being outdoors, and spending time at our family cabin north of Duluth; catching crappies, listening to the loons, pulling kids behind the boat on the tube or wake board, and many hours by the fire!
