Director of Technology

I have taught for East Central since the 1997-1998 school year. During the first 13 years, I taught at the Crossroads Learning Center. Beginning with the 2010-2011 school year, I was transferred up to the K-12 building. I have taught all levels of mathematics and also some computer classes during my tenure at East Central. In January of 2012, I appointed the Director of Technology for East Central.Bill Groskreutz

Some of the school activities I have been involved are:

  • Webmaster since September 2000
  • Track Coach since 2007, Head Track coach beginning in 2008
  • Cross Country Coach since 2008
  • Running the clock and announcing at several basketball, football, and volleyball games
  • Marching Band during the summer as an adult chaperone

I have two children. Will, who is a graduate of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and Beth, who is a graduate student at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. While at East Central, Will participated in One Act, Spring Plays, Football, Basketball, and Baseball. Will currently works for Phillips Medisize as a Pharmaceutical Quality Engineer and he is a high school hockey referee. He was married in September 2021 to Angela. Beth played Volleyball and ran Track. She was also a member of the Marching Band and was a Drum Major. She plays the flute, piccolo, oboe, and piano. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in May 2022 and is working at Heraeus Medical Components as a Biomedical Engineer in Product Development. I also became a grandfather in February 2022.

I graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1993. In the 93-94 school year, I taught for Long Prairie/Grey Eagle school district. From 1994 to 1997, I taught for St. Cloud State in their Math Skills Center, being Co-Director for the last two school years. I also taught for Anoka/Ramsey Community College in 1997.

I am also heavily involved with the Boy Scouts. Including my years as a youth, I have over 35 years of being a registered Boy Scout in the books. I have served in many positions and at several different levels. Currently, I am the Committee Chair for Troop 187 (both the Boys troop & Girls troop) in Askov and serve on the Advancement Committee for the Voyageurs Area Council (covering Northern Minnesota & Northern Wisconsin).
