I've been teaching in 4th grade at East Central since 2019. I feel honored to be at East Central Schools teaching 4th grade! East Central feels like home with great staff, families and kids to work and grow with everyday! Before East Central, I was  a long-term sub at various area schools like Mora, Ogilvie, Willow River, and Pine City Elementary Schools.  I earned my Elementary Education degree from Bemidji State University. Before that I worked in retail for 10 years. But it was the work I did before retail that lead me to teaching. I taught Outdoor Education with various scout, school and church groups and realized I loved working with kids! So I decided to leave retail and get back to working toward my goal to teach.  My love of the outdoors lead me to working in Outdoor Education and ultimately to the teaching field, so it's probably not surprising that my family and I love to go camping, hunting, fishing and kayaking.
