April 6th Update

Dear Families,

Distance Learning is well underway and we're hopeful you are finding ways to adjust to the new routine. Governor Walz has stated there is a "relatively slim" chance schools will return to normal operations this spring. As a school district, our planning is focused on us finishing the school year with our students in distance learning. As we make these plans, I want to acknowledge how hard and stressful this new normal is on students, staff, and families. Patience and understanding is a must in these challenging times. Please take care of your children and yourselves.

Updates/Reminders:

  • There is NO SCHOOL this Friday, April 10. This was a previously scheduled day off in the school calendar. Distance Learning, food delivery and childcare will NOT take place on Friday.
  • Elementary Students - Distance Learning Envelopes with school work are going out throughout the week, not just Mondays. Students can send work back at any time once the work is complete. Teachers are communicating when work is coming home on the buses and when packets are ready for pick up.
  • Spring Activity Fees - For those families that have paid spring activity fees, refunds can be expected by April 15th. Questions about these fees should be directed to Mr. Lindstrom, Activities Director.
  • Distance Learning Photos - We miss our students and we'd love to see photos of our students working at home. If you are interested in having your child's distance learning photos posted on the school district Facebook page, send photos to [email protected]. This applies to both high school and elementary students.
  • Communication - We want to be sure we've found the most effective way to communicate with each of our families. If you have questions about anything related to your child's distance learning plan please reach out to either the High School or Elementary Office at (320)245-2289.

We are seeing a great deal of completed work coming back to school. Thank you for making the best of these challenging times.

Take care,

ANDREW M. ALMOS
