Welcome to science! I started teaching life, earth, physical, and environmental science at East Central in 2021-22. I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College, majoring in biology and natural science teaching.

The environmental science class that first year helped write a grant proposal to explore solar, and students will be adapting a bench to be a solar charging station, thanks to funding and expertise from CERTS and RREAL and the Askov American Legion Post  243. In 2022-23, we began participating in the Trout in the Classroom program, raising trout from eggs and releasing the fingerlings in Windmill Creek which flows into Grindstone Lake. Our thanks to Pine County Soil and Water Conservation District for supporting our participation with a contribution!

My husband and I have had five children and a foreign exchange student graduate from East Central. We live on a hobby farm near Askov where we garden, raise chickens, and have two cats. For fun, we fish, camp, canoe, hike, read, watch movies, listen to music, play board games (our recent fave is Terraforming Mars), and we've enjoyed acting in the community musicals with our children. On the fourth Wednesday of the month, you will find us helping with the Askov Community Meal at Bethlehem Lutheran. Come and enjoy a home cooked meal! Go Eagles!
