Dynamic Flights is in Rush City, they are excited to pair with EC community ed to instruct. They teach recreational and competitive gymnastics. All area youth are welcome. Ages 3-5 years of age - 6th grade! CLASSES WILL BE HELD AT EAST CENTRAL


DATES - 6 weeks on Wednesdays Sept. 15, 22, 29, Oct. 6, 13 and 20. Classes will be held in the elementary lunch room.


2:30-3:15 Kindergarten-2nd grade (limit 8 per class)--------------$50

3:15-4:00 3rd -6th grade (limit 10 per class)------------------------$50

4:15-4:45 Preschool (ages 3-5) (limit 8 per class)-------------------$40

4:45-5:15 Cheer Tumbling (grades 2-6) (Limit 10)------------------$40---NEW CLASS FOR YOUTH CHEERLEADERS

Youth Cross Country is an opportunity for both boys and girls in grades 1st-6th to learn more about the sport of cross country.  Students will run as well as participate in strength and conditioning exercises and cross-training.  

GRADES: Students entering grades 1-6 in the 2021-22 school year - BOYS AND GIRLS!!

COST: 20.00 first student, 16.00 second student this INCLUDES a tshirt *To guarantee that t-shirts are received by the first meet, the last day to register is August 25, 2021 by 3:00.

Instructors:  Cassie Gaede and High School Cross Country team with the assistance of Head Coach Bill Groskreutz.

Practices will occur on Tuesdays (August 31; September 7, 21, 29) from afterschool-5:00pm and on Saturdays (September 11, 18, 25; October 2)  from 10:00am-11:00am with Cassie Gaede.    

Runners will meet in the foyer area on Tuesdays and outside the main door entrance on Saturdays.   

Please be ready to run outside unless it is raining, in which case we will run inside (no practices will be cancelled due to weather). 

**Please be sure your student is aware they will be running a lot.

Cross Country Meets:  We have been invited to 4 cross country meets to run prior to the high school students.  These races will be between .5 - 1 mile in length. 

Parents will need to be responsible for transporting their child to these races and notify the school that they will be leaving early.

Make sure students have appropriate running clothes and shoes, along with a water bottle and snack (wear their cross country shirt they will receive!).

Students are welcome to cheer on the high school runners afterwards.

*Cross country meets are usually held at the golf courses within these cities.

Meets will begin around 3:30 p.m. (look for additional information on specific locations and times to be sent out prior to each meet)

THIS CLASS IS FULL AS OF 7/26/21 Class size is limited to 20 - first come first serve.

Students will learn cheers, jump techniques, and beginning stunts. It is highly recommended that students who want to participate in Elementary Football OR Basketball Cheer should attend this camp!

DATE/TIME: Monday, August 23 - Thursday, August 26 from 3:00-5:00 in the High School lunchroom at East Central.

GRADES: Students entering grades K-6 for the 2021-22 school year.

COST: $30.00, which includes a Cheer T-Shirt

REGISTRATION DEADLINE (this is important for shirt ordering, if you miss the deadline, shirts are not guaranteed): Monday, August 9 by NOON.

OTHER INFORMATION: Students need to wear tennis shoes and clothes they can move in 

(no jeans).



AGE LEVELS: Students entering 5th and 6th grade for the 2021-22 school year.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, June 16 by 6:00. This is VERY IMPORTANT for ordering gear.

PRACTICE DATES: July 19, 20, 21, 22; July 27, 29; August 3, 5; August 10, 12 from 5:30-7:00.

GAME DATES: July 24 and 31 at Barnum, August 7 at EC, August 14 at Hin/Fin- times vary from 9:00, 10:00 or 11:00. 

COSTS:   $92.00 participation fee and practice jersey (used for games), white integrated pants (these include pads).

This program is ran by the EC football program.

PRACTICE DATES: August 17, 19; 24, 26; 31 and Sept. 2 from 5:30-7:00.
September 7, 9, 14 and 16 from 3:25-5:00.

GAME DATES: 10:00-11:00 am on Saturdays August 21, September 11 and 18. FRIDAY, August 27 (Rutabaga Days weekend) from 10:00-11:00am.

All practices and games will be at EC. Some nights it may be on the baseball field outfield, back field, or the football practice field depending on field availability.

This program is ran by the EC football program.

2021-22 East Central Activities Fee

The Activities fee is required to play in all sports offered at the 7th - 12 grade level at East Central, this includes the following: Fall Sports: Cross Country, Volleyball, Football, Cheer Winter Sports: Basketball, Cheer, Hockey, One Act Spring Sports: Track, Baseball, Softball, Trap Shooting, Golf.


East Central has set the activities fee for all sports except trap shooting AND hockey as follows: $50.00/athlete per sport.

Hockey is $150.00/student. 

Trap Shooting is $105.00/student. (Plus an additional 30.00 fee paid to the Clay Pigeon Association. Your coach will contact you on the steps needed to enroll in this and the deadline to do so). 

If the athlete participates in two sports, the third sport is free. (TRAP SHOOTING AND HOCKEY DO NOT COUNT AS A FREE SPORT).

HARVEST CHRISTIAN STUDENTS (Grades 9-12) - $350.00

Grades 9-12 the fee is $350.00 per sport. The agreements between the EC and Harvest Christian stated the Harvest Christian SCHOOL would pay $300.00 of the fee and the Harvest Christian PARENTS would pay the additional $50.00.  


Grades 7-8 (Junior High). This fee is $50.00/student per sport. 


You may now pay online with a card through Community Education.

NEW(2020-21): There is NOW AN ACH option as well for those who want to use their checking account.

ATHLETIC FEE IS DUE PRIOR TO THE FIRST PRACTICE OF THE SEASON - Students are unable to participate in any games until the fee has been received.

Be sure you also have your MSHSL form filled out for the year and your athlete's physical is up to date.
