Hi there!
I am excited to be teaching at East Central this year. I am originally from Cloquet, MN and I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Superior with my degree in Elementary Education, minor in Special Education. I also have a Master's Degree in Educational Instruction. Outside of being an educator, I enjoy traveling, hiking, snowboarding, and going to my kids' various events. I have 3 kids who are busy with hockey, basketball, volleyball, softball, soccer, golf, band, choir, and other extracurricular activities.
As an educator, I believe it is not only my job teach, but also to inspire students. My goal is to guide them to be as happy, healthy, and successful as they possibly can be during their time in my classroom. Our students will go on to be the future of our nation. We as educators have a very important job! My hope is that my students will leave my classroom better prepared for the world outside than when they came in. My goal is to build trusting relationships with not only my students, but with their families, as well. I look forward to teaching, learning, and having fun in the classroom!
