Posted on 07/13/2021

Hello to the students & parents/guardians of The East Central High

Our athletic trainer, Luke, has alerted us to some FREE opportunities for our student-athletes. These events require pre-registration.

First, students who need a physical will be interested in this option. Welia Health is offering FREE sports physicals. Remember, sports physicals are only good for 3 years, so Sophomores, you may need a new one.
- August 3rd, 4 PM - 7:30 PM at the Pine City Welia clinic, you will need to call 320.269.7505 to make a reservation.
- August 10th, 4 PM - 7:30 PM at the Mora Welia clinic, you will need to call 320.679.1313 to make a reservation
In any case, you MUST bring a copy of the MSHSL physical form with you. You can obtain one at https://www.weliahealth.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/2020-21-MSHSL-Physical-Form.pdf. For more information, please view https://www.weliahealth.org/free-sports-physicals/.

Next, and this is for all student-athletes, Welia Health is offering free concussion baseline testing. This is done for all athletes at the beginning of each season at East Central already, however, to make it more streamlined we are asking that athletes attend one of these sessions if possible. This baseline testing will be included in the sports physical from Welia. You must pre-register for a slot.
