Hello, My name is Mr. Kvam. I have been teaching at East Central for 32 years. I started out teaching at the Bruno Elementary School. I taught PE and Title One. I moved to the Sandstone Elementary School and taught PE there as well. In 2004, I was moved in to the 2nd grade classroom, and taught there until 2010. I am currently an intervention specialist working with students in the area of Reading, Math. and behavior. I also work on the Problem Solving Team, (PST) and PBIS teams to help with academic and behavioral support.
I am a coach here at EC. During my time here I have coached Jr. High Football, Jr. High baseball, Jr High and C Team Boys basketball, and JV football. I have been an Asst.Track Coach and Head Track Coach and Head Football Coach.
I have enjoyed my time here and cherish the friendships I have made. It is especially fun now that I am teaching some of my former students’ children. It is rewarding to see them in the halls as they drop off or pick up their children.
My hobbies are raising Yellow labs, and woodcarving. I am married and have 4 beautiful daughters. We enjoy spending time together as a family and being active with church activities. If I can ever help you with anything, please contact me.
