I have been a special education teacher for 25(+) years and every single day the students still make me grin from ear to ear.

My husband and I both graduated from this school district.  I spent most of my high school years as an Askov Dane, but I was a member of the first graduating class of the East Central Eagles (Danes and Panthers combined). We have been fortunate to move back to this community, build a home on 40 acres, and raised our two boys as East Central Eagles.

I graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1990 and later completed my masters in education from Viterbo University.  I started my career in Chaska, MN while working for Carver-Scott Educational Cooperative.  At one point, I worked at school where the students ran a sheep farm in Waconia, MN. Later, my husband and I began our transition back to the Askov area and I worked as a disability coordinator for Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College.  I then transferred to Duluth Public School District before securing a job at East Central.

The boys  in my family love to hunt, fish, and camp.  I enjoy the camping and can be convinced to fish every once in awhile, especially ice fishing.  My family enjoys snowmobiling in the winter and really appreciate those winters when we still have lots of snow. My favorite things to do on a Saturday are cook, read, and play piano. My favorite summer activities are gardening, reading, and playing golf . . . . .or anything else that includes soaking up sunshine.
