November 11th Update

Dear Families,

Pine County continues to see dramatic increases in COVID-19 cases. This week's published case rate is expected to be 53.95 per 10,000 people with increasing numbers expected. This concerning trajectory has all the school districts in Pine County considering more restrictive learning models. The safety and health of our students and staff remain our priority. The ongoing county-wide COVID-19 concerns mean we will again extend distance learning. East Central Schools will continue in distance learning through November 27th. During this time and until further notice, extracurricular activities will be allowed to continue. Decisions regarding extracurricular events are subject to change on a week by week basis.

We cannot wait for the day when all our students are back at school every day and we're hoping that will be soon. I thank you deeply for the partnership you continue to maintain with our school district.

Take care,

ANDREW M. ALMOS
