Minutes - Sept 13, 2010

Present: Wendy Ecklund, Maria Lourey-Bowen, Kathie Roy, Dianne Anderson, Martha Diggan, Colette Stadin, Jessie Clennon, Mary Burmeister, Michelle Kenyon, Bill Jansen, and Jodi Czwakiel.

Clennon stepped down as president.

Ecklund gave treasurer’s report:

School supplies cost $3,143.78.

Now have about $7,000 to work with.

Last year revenue $5,000, but spent $8,000+

Need to meet with LSFCU by September 22 regarding IRS issue with PTO number not matching name.

New officers were elected:

President: Wendy Ecklund

Vice President: Martha Diggan

Secretary: Colette Stadin

Treasurer: Bill Jansen

Discussed upcoming PTO fundraiser at Chris’ Food Stand set for October 15 and 16. Clennon volunteered to coordinate with Chris’.

Cookbooks were discussed. Group questioned how many were left. Those with cookbooks are to bring them to the next PTO meeting.

Possible new sources of income for PTO were brought up – re: Tyson, Capri Sun. Clennon volunteered to look into the programs further.

Ecklund to see if grant for Artist in Residency program went through – PTO had pledged $500.

Anderson looking into authors and costs. (last year’s visiting authors: Nancy Carlson, Chris Monroe, Bruce Lansky)
