Early Learning Opportunities
East Central is diligently working to develop our Early Learning opportunities for you and your family! Please take time to review our programs that are FREE to families with children ages 0-5!!! These include our preschool, Terrific 3's, and our Mixed Age classes for parents and children. ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) AND our School Readiness Program (GTKY -- Getting To Know You) provide opportunities for parents and children from birth to 5 years old, not yet in kindergarten, to grow and learn together in a supportive stimulating environment. Classes are held in our Early Childhood Classroom at the East Central School. There are no tuition fees and no cost for bus transportation in our GTKY or T3 program.

| Parent Child Classes |
Our Parent-Child classes will resume its schedule beginning the last week of September 2013. Mixed Ages MONDAY is held from 6 to 7 pm the FIRST and LAST Monday of each month, beginning September 30th, 2013. Enjoy one full hour of relaxed play time with your child and other families. And this is a fantastic opportunity for your child to become familiar with the an educational environment! There is NO SEPARATION time during this class. Mixed Age FRIDAY is held from 9:30 to 11:00 am every Friday. After 45 minutes of relaxed play time with your child and other families, parents SEPARATE from their child(ren) for 30-40 minutes and meet with other parents and a parent educator to share parenting strategies and stories, with occasional guest speakers who are experts in topics for parents of young children. This is an informal and enjoyable time for parents. Snacks, coffee, Hot Chocolate served too! |
| Getting to Know You (GTKY) |
This is our fast-growing East Central School Readiness (Preschool) program for children 4 years of age (on or before Sept. 1, 2013) and starting kindergarten the Fall of 2014. This program provides an opportunity for children to attend 1/2 day classes twice per week. THE TEDDY BEAR BAND is coming to East Central on Thursday, August 22nd, 2013 The Early Childhood Expo will be held at East Central Schools on Saturday, September 21st, 2013. This huge event will include a nationally known keynote speaker, breakout sessions for parents, caregivers, and educators. In addition will be several vendors from the local areas. Childcare will also be provided!! |

Thursday mornings from 8:00 to 10:30 AM This is a "terrific" time for your three-year old to play and learn with other three-year olds!! Children enjoy socialization, educational activities, snack time, reading time, and circle time in a stimulating and fun environment. This is an excellent opportunity to prepare your child for preschool at East Central!! |
